Taberna will run a WSET Level 2 course in April 2026.
The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines is a beginner to intermediate-level qualification exploring wines, suitable for both wine enthusiasts and industry professionals. This qualification is intended for beginners wishing to learn a wide range of wines or those seeking to build on the introductory knowledge gained with the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines. You will gain knowledge of the principal and regionally important grape varieties of the world, the regions in which they are grown and the styles of wines they produce. Through a combination of tasting and theory, you will explore the factors that impact style and quality and learn how to describe these wines with confidence.

Course Assessment:
A closed-book examination of 60 minutes duration consisting 50 multiple-choice questions worth one mark each. In order to be awarded the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines, candidates must achieve a minimum pass mark of 55%.
The course will be conducted by Boon Heng DipWSET. Boon is the first wine merchant in Singapore to pass the WSET Diploma WSET 4. His also a WSET Certified Wine Educator qualified to teach up to WSET Level 3. Boon has over 20 years of experience in wine and is a permanent wine judge at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in the UK and the Decanter Asia Wine Award in Hong Kong.

Cost per seat: SGD 1150.00 nett ($1100 nett for group of 2 or more)
The course cost includes course materials, wines, cost for 4 classroom sessions of lecture and guidance including wine tasting, exam evaluation by WSET UK and final certification from Wine and Spirits Education Trust. The process for receipt of final certification is about 8 weeks.
